Precision Industrial Coating Technology
Technology Introduction
Precision industrial coating is a new-generation high-precision spraying technology independently developed by Rocktin, enabling large-area, high-speed and high-precision application. Supported by AI image recognition, it can automatically define and accurately identify non-spraying areas such as electrodes, greatly improving process flexibility. The spraying process is splash-free and eco-friendly. Supporting multi-sided simultaneous spraying and compatible with high-viscosity materials, it offers significant advantages over traditional PET insulation film wrapping.
Core Advantages
Ultra-high precision coating, excellent corner coverage, high productivity, pollution-free
Innovative Side-spray Technology
Supports horizontal and vertical spraying, capable of spraying up to three sides simultaneously
Single coating thickness 50 μm, spraying distance over 5 mm
Only 2-3 passes required to reach target thickness
No Splashing or Residue Throughout the Process
No post-cleaning needed for battery electrodes after spraying
High Spraying & Curing Efficiency
Complete 6-sided spraying and curing of workpieces within seconds
Highly Compatible Nozzles & Special High-viscosity Materials
High-adhesion materials solve traditional PET insulation film peeling and aging issues, greatly extending protective coating life
Excellent Material Properties
Outstanding insulation and adhesion, resistant to electrolyte and chemical solvent corrosion

Process Flow
Rocktin provides full-process service and customized design according to customer requirements. On-site visits and sample trials are available
Step 1: Visual Inspection
Check for defects such as damage, deformation or poor welding

Step 2: Laser Surface Cleaning
Clean product surface with laser cleaning machine

Step 3: Plasma Treatment
Surface activation and planarization using plasma equipment

Step 4: Component Coating
Identify the workpiece, generate corresponding coating path, send to coating equipment and complete the process

Step 5: Inductive UV Curing
Accelerated curing via inductive light irradiation

Step 6: Final Visual Inspection
Check for particles, white spots, edge missing coating and splashes on non-coated areas such as tabs

Step 7: Coating Thickness Measurement
Measure coating thickness on each side at designated points using contact thickness gauge

Step 8: Insulation & Withstand Voltage Test
Test finished products with insulation/withstand voltage tester
